JOYNEET PROJECT MEETING IN DABROWA POLAND – September 2015.

Another successful JOYNEET project meeting and a weekend with our Joyneet friends again.

This weekend we all stayed in a Monastery, part of it is still a working Monastery and part of it is for guests staying on a bed & breakfast basis. It was not unusual to pass monks on the stairs, a lovely and historic place to stay.

Guests arrived at different times on the Friday. The evening meal was in a lovely restaurant which we walked along the river bank too. Guests were still arriving late into the evening.

Saturday was the JOYNEET meeting and we had speakers giving their introductions on their towns and what they can offer to the Joyneet project.

There was a break for lunch at a local farming fair. Then back to the afternoon session of the meeting. Back to the Monastery to freshen up and then for a very social evening meal.

Sunday we were taken into Dabrowa for a sightseeing tour. We had a guide for this and we saw many historic sites. We finished the tour at a Gingerbread museum and factory, here we made our own Gingerbread with different moulds.

We had free time in the city.

The Sunday evening meal was a final celebration for the successful weekend. Presentations were made and it was a very enjoyable evening. We are all now looking forward to our next JOYNEET meeting which is in November and to be held in the beautiful old town of Lecce, Southern Italy. This town is in the heel of Italy and very beautiful.
